The problem

Boating is a huge, fragmented market. Buyers, sellers, service providers, and parts dealers are scattered across dated forums, classifieds, and single-purpose sites. There was no modern, trustworthy home that pulled the whole boating world into one polished experience.

The goal was an everything-for-boaters marketplace that looks premium, earns trust, and can actually pay for itself through a first-class advertising system, not bolted-on banner clutter.

What I built

A full platform with three sides: a polished storefront for boaters, a revenue engine that serves and tracks ads, and an admin dashboard the team uses to run it all. Plus the plumbing to keep it stocked, including an automated importer that pulls in used marine parts.

Browse, search, and filter boat and service listings, or list your own. Clean cards, rich detail pages, and a flow built for both buyers and sellers.

A catalog of used marine parts, kept fresh by an automated importer that pulls in new inventory and de-duplicates it so nothing shows up twice.

The marketplace reaches across the whole boating world, with sections for marinas, charters, docks, and events, plus an interactive map to find them.

Built-in ad platform

Banners, native listings, and partner promos served through weighted, priority-based rotation, so advertising feels native and the marketplace can earn.

Every ad tracks its own impressions and clicks, with no flicker on load, so partners get honest numbers and the team can see what performs.

A control room for ads, listings, and partners, with role-based access for admins, moderators, and ad managers. Everyone sees exactly their lane.
